Square Enix has ranked for the first time #1 in Metacritic’s 2025 publisher rankings. Based solely on critic reviews, Square Enix’s games had an average Metascore of 84 and achieved a 100% positive review rate across 9 distinct titles, with the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth receiving the highest score of 90.
