NHN PlayArt Targets Early 2026 for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy Launch

NHN confirmed during its latest earnings call that Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is planned for release in the first half of 2026, with the company aiming for an early launch in the first quarter to start measuring player engagement and initial reactions. The game is being developed by NHN PlayArt and continues the Dissidia series, bringing together characters from across the Final Fantasy franchise.
CEO Jung Woo-jin described the project as one of NHN’s most important upcoming games, noting that the company expects it to achieve the highest sales in its lineup thanks to the strength of the Final Fantasy brand.
“The ‘Final Fantasy’ IP is very strong, and since we have been preparing for a long time, we expect the highest sales among NHN’s game lineup.”
He also mentioned that the closed beta test is progressing smoothly:
“The CBT (closed beta test) is going smoothly, and I think we can expect concrete results with the release in the first quarter of next year.”
NHN expects strong demand in Japan, Western regions, and Asia, planning a global rollout that begins with Japan once development wraps up.
