Final Fantasy XI Celebrates 24th Anniversary With Major Website Redesign and New Animated Movie

Square Enix is celebrating the 24th anniversary of Final Fantasy XI with two major updates for the long running MMORPG: a complete redesign of the game’s official website and a new animated anniversary movie titled Our Adventure Never Ends.
The official Final Fantasy XI website received its first major visual overhaul in many years. While the site continued receiving news posts and campaign updates over time, its overall structure and presentation had largely remained unchanged since the mid 2000s. The redesigned version now features a more modern responsive layout, HTTPS support, and styling closer to current Square Enix services such as the FFXIV Lodestone, marking one of the biggest modernization updates the game’s online presence has received in years.
Old vs New:
Alongside the website update, Square Enix also released a new anniversary animation featuring work from filmmaker Waboku and longtime Final Fantasy XI composer Naoshi Mizuta. Using the song “Lumina Angels,” the short film focuses on memories and everyday life in Vana'diel while celebrating both longtime players and adventurers still continuing their journey in the game today.
