Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Café Opens for a Limited Time in Osaka and Nagoya

Square Enix and Pasela Group are expanding the collaboration café that first opened in Shinjuku to new locations in Osaka and Nagoya. The Osaka Pop Up Cafe will open on December 24 and run until May 2026, with two phases from December 24 to January 19 and from January 20 to February 12. The Nagoya café is planned for February to July 2026, but its phase schedule has not been announced yet. Both cafés will offer the same Final Fantasy IX themed menu and the same event setup as the Shinjuku location.

Entry requires a ¥1,200 charge, which includes one drink and a lunch mat, plus at least one additional food or drink order. Guests have 90-minute time slots and place orders via a mobile ordering system. Visitors receive a random lunch mat upon entry and a random coaster with each collaboration item ordered. Merchandise is sold on the first floor, accessible without a café reservation.
The menu is split into two parts: a common lineup available throughout the event, and seasonal items that change between the two phases. The common selection includes a 25th Anniversary Cake, 25th Anniversary Latte Art with four random designs, and a Vivi-themed drink.
Phase one features Garnet’s pink pudding, Salamander pescatore, the Lindblum hunting festival steak, Chocobo green salad, a Moogle yogurt sundae, a theater ticket sandwich, and drinks inspired by Zidane, Steiner, Freya, Beatrix, and the jesters Thorn and Zorn.
Phase two adds Vivi’s black magic sweets, Zidane’s twin blade grilled skewers, Eiko’s potato stew, a Moogle salad sandwich, Quina’s curry, Black Mage nachos with elemental sauces, and themed drinks inspired by Garnet, Amarant, Kuja, Alexander, and Vivi’s elemental magic.
