Evangelion Alliance Raid “Ghosts of Desire” Announced for Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold

Square Enix revealed EVANGELION: Ghosts of Desire, a new 24-player Alliance Raid series coming to Final Fantasy XIV in the Evercold expansion. Announced by Naoki Yoshida at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2026 in Anaheim, the crossover is being developed in collaboration with khara, Inc., the studio behind the Evangelion series.
The raid series is part of the Evangelion 30th anniversary. More than one raid is planned, and khara will supervise Square Enix’s development. Work is currently focused on art, design, and modeling. The tentative name Ghosts of Desire may still change. Additional details, including footage and artwork, are expected at the Berlin Fan Festival in July 2026 and the Tokyo Fan Festival in October 2026.
