Rare Yoshitaka Amano Final Fantasy Crossover Artwork Sold for ¥1.2 Million

A rare Yoshitaka Amano crossover illustration featuring Cloud, Aerith, Tidus, and Yuna sold on Yahoo Japan Auctions for ¥1.2 million (€6.6k/$7.6k). The auction started at ¥10,000 (€60/$64) and ran for seven days. The piece is signed by Amano and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Users on social media pointed out that Cloud and Aerith look similar to their Remake designs, though there’s no confirmed information on when the artwork was created. The listing title translates to "Custom Order," suggesting it may have originally been a commissioned piece. Some comments speculated that it could have been personal artwork later sold or donated to Miraika Art Co.
Crossover pieces featuring characters from multiple Final Fantasy games are rather rare in Amano’s catalog, making this work especially interesting for collectors.
