According to leaker NateTheHate, the long-rumored Final Fantasy IX remake is currently still “on ice”. He clarified this does not necessarily mean cancellation, but there are no signs of movement and the reason for the pause remains unclear. The rumor has circulated since the Nvidia leak but has never been confirmed by Square Enix.
