PAX West 2025 to Feature Multiple Final Fantasy Panels and Exclusive Community Night

Square Enix has shared its Final Fantasy schedule for PAX West 2025, taking place from August 29 to September 1 at the Seattle Convention Center. All panels will also be streamed on PAX’s official Twitch channel.

The event begins with “Storytime with Naoki Yoshida” on August 29 from 11:00am to 12:00pm in the Main Theatre. The Final Fantasy XIV producer and director will talk about his career, how the games industry has changed, and how that has influenced projects like Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI. A live Q&A is planned.

On August 30 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the Blue Dragon Theatre, Game Director Kazutoyo Maehiro and Art Director Hiroshi Minagawa will host “The Making of Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles”. Moderated by Ben Starr, the panel will cover the development of the enhanced version and share behind-the-scenes stories. Attendees will receive a Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles branded pin.

August 31 will feature “The Relationship Between Game Design and Art Direction” from 11:00am to 12:30pm in the Main Theatre. Naoki Yoshida and Hiroshi Minagawa will discuss how art direction and design shape world building, their creative process, and their inspirations.

Square Enix will also host a Community Night on August 30 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, with tickets available through Eventbrite. The celebration will feature Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest titles, including Final Fantasy XIV, Final Fantasy XVI, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles, and the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox PC. Guests will include Naoki Yoshida, Kazutoyo Maehiro, and Hiroshi Minagawa, with activities such as photo opportunities, giveaways, and meet-and-greets.
