Kuji Lottery - Final Fantasy IX - 25th Anniversary

After more than six weeks of waiting, my complete Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Kuji Lottery finally arrived. As always, I was a bit nervous about the condition and whether everything would be included. Thankfully, all items were there.

If you haven’t heard of a Kuji Lottery before: it’s a type of lottery where each ticket costs 770¥ and guarantees you a prize from categories A to F. There’s also a special “Last Prize” for the final draw.

Here’s what was included in the Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Kuji:

A Prize: A 50 cm tall Vivi plush

B Prize: Final Fantasy IX Chiptune Arrangement Tracks CD

C Prize: Tissue box cover made from synthetic leather

D Prize: One of four mini plates with character artwork

E Prize: One of five postcard sets with three postcards and a Mognet envelope

F Prize: Rubber keychain with one of ten characters

Last Prize: Canvas print featuring 25th anniversary art by Toshiyuki Itahana (F3 size, 27.3 cm x 27 cm)

The most popular item is definitely the large Vivi plush, which got a lot of attention when the lottery was first announced. It is now being sold individually for very high prices.

Personally, I really like the canvas artwork too. It feels like something that will be highly collectible in the future.

In earlier Kuji lotteries, I used to display all the items, but since I have limited space now, only Vivi and the canvas will go on display. The rest will be stored for now.
