Square Enix has announced Chocobo’s Scout Frenzy, a new Chocobo card and board game releasing in Japan on March 27, 2027. It supports 2–5 players, plays in around 30 minutes, and is intended for players aged 10 and up.
Players secretly choose Number Cards to compete for Score Cards, with higher numbers getting first pick. Some cards award positive points, while monsters such as Goblins and Iron Giants give negative points. Special cards featuring Dice, Bombs, Shirma, and Moogles add further effects that can change the outcome.
The box includes rulebooks in English, Japanese, French, and German, along with 100 Chocobo Cards, 50 Exploration Cards, 15 Command Coins, and High/Low markers.
