Final Fantasy XIV Evercold Delayed, New Job Zephyr Revealed
During the keynote at Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo, Naoki Yoshida announced that the next expansion's initial release, which was scheduled for late January, has been delayed to ensure the team can deliver the level of quality they are aiming for.
Early Access will now begin on February 19, 2027, followed by the full release on February 23, 2027. Preorders will start on November 4, 2026.
Square Enix also revealed Zephyr, the second new job coming to Evercold. It is a physical ranged DPS job that uses crossbow shots and support from an avian familiar to take down its targets.
