Comparison images of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 are currently being shared across social media, highlighting reduced interior detail and missing background props in scenes like the Nibelheim flashback.
These changes help keep the game running smoothly on handheld hardware and are generally seen as a fair trade off given the scale of the game. For players experiencing the Switch 2 version on its own, the differences are likely far less noticeable without a direct comparison to PS5.
Do you think this is a fair compromise for portability, or does the loss of detail stand out too much?
