Final Fantasy VII Rebirth promises fans a deeper and more emotional journey through iconic scenes and relationships. Developers express excitement about leveraging modern hardware and the extended playtime across three titles to enhance the emotional impact of key moments.
In a recent interview with Gameinformer, producer Yoshinori Kitase, creative director Tetsuya Nomura, and director Naoki Hamaguchi shared insights into the development process. While discussing Aerith's arc and Sephiroth's role, the developers revealed their enthusiasm for a specific scene in the Corel Prison portion of the game.

Nomura expressed his admiration for the detailed depiction of characters, especially citing the emotional impact of the Dyne scene. Dyne, a childhood friend of Barret and the boss of Corel Prison, reunites with Barret in a powerful moment that resonates even more in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
Kitase, initially skeptical about including the Corel Prison scene, admitted, "It's crying-worthy. I feel glad it's in there." This sentiment underscores the commitment to preserving beloved scenes and characters in their most fully realized forms.
