Final Fantasy VII Dev Takashi Tokita Shares a Memorable Bug That Nearly Gave Him a Heart Attack

During development of Final Fantasy VII, Square Enix producer Takashi Tokita encountered a bug that unexpectedly startled him. While working on his PC, a cutscene involving Jenova suddenly began playing on the PlayStation dev kit monitor.
“When I was doing work on my PC during FF7’s development, suddenly the Jenova cutscene started playing on the PS dev kit’s monitor, and I felt like I was about to get a heart attack.”
