Square Enix launched a collaboration event between the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series and Atre Akihabara on May 30, 2025. The event runs until June 12 and is taking place at the Atre Akihabara shopping complex. Both the inside and outside of the complex are decorated with pixel art and franchise artwork, including pieces by Yoshitaka Amano.
A pop-up store has been set up inside the building, offering a variety of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster merchandise. Customers who spend 1,500 yen (tax included) or more will receive one randomly selected character sticker from a set of five original designs.
Illustrator Takashi Mifune (Irasutoya) created new character illustrations from the series especially for this event. These artworks are displayed on the walls of the pop-up store and are also available as part of the newly released digital content. The digital content includes smartphone wallpapers, social media icons and headers, all available for download through the official website.
