Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary: Square Enix Announces Dual Pop-Up Store Events

Square Enix has announced two upcoming pop-up events to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy IX. Both will be held at Daimaru Umeda and Daimaru Tokyo department stores, featuring exclusive merchandise, exhibits, and in-store campaigns.
The Square Enix pop-up store will run from July 2 to September 7 at Daimaru Umeda and from July 25 to August 11 at Daimaru Tokyo. In addition to a wide variety of Final Fantasy IX items already known, some previously unannounced merchandise such as new stickers, T-shirts, magnets, acrylic keychains, and clear files will also be available. Illustration panels by Toshiyuki Itahana and themed photo spots are part of the display.
The Final Fantasy IX 25th anniversary × Daimaru Matsuzakaya collection will run at Daimaru Umeda from July 2 to 15 and Daimaru Tokyo from July 23 to 29. This pop-up will offer a diverse lineup of items, including clothing and miscellaneous goods. The collection is based on characters and memorable scenes from Final Fantasy IX and features items that combine design and "fashionability".
The kuji lottery , commemorating the 25th anniversary, will also be available starting July 7. Each draw costs ¥770 and offers the chance to win the already previously announced items.
Customers who spend at least ¥5,500 at one of the two event venues can present their receipt to receive an exclusive rubber coaster. There are eight types, distributed at random.
A custom stamp-making station using FFIX-themed illustrations will also be available on-site. Visitors can choose from multiple designs and create personalized stamps on the spot.
Early-sale items for Final Fantasy XIV will also be available, including canvas boards, sticker sets, and Doman Mahjong shirt.
