Chadley Plays Important Main Story Role, Conducts Meteor Research Aboard the Highwind in Final Fantasy VII Revelation

Naoki Hamaguchi shared new details about Chadley's role during an interview with Restart. While previous appearances largely focused on optional content, Hamaguchi indicated that Chadley will be more closely tied to events unfolding throughout Revelation.
"Right at the beginning of [Revelation] we have the Black Materia activated, and now there are weapons all over, and that is causing chaos. So Chadley actually has a base that he builds inside of it, and he is conducting research on meteor."
Hamaguchi also confirmed that Chadley's involvement extends beyond his research activities and is connected to the game's narrative.
"He does have a very important part that's related to the main story."
Additional details shared during a Giant Bomb interview revealed that Chadley's operations are based aboard the Highwind. Hamaguchi also commented on the airship's design, noting that its interior pays homage to the original Final Fantasy VII while Chadley's personal area has a more advanced technological appearance.
