Zoff Launches Final Fantasy IX Collaboration Glasses Featuring Zidane, Vivi and Premium Designs

Zoff has announced a new eyewear collection to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy IX. While Zoff has previously collaborated with Square Enix, this is their first collection specifically themed around Final Fantasy IX. Three limited-edition glasses and several related items will be available for online pre-order in Japan from July 7 to August 3, 2025. Shipping is scheduled for the end of February 2026.
The Zidane model features a brown Wellington-style frame with green temple arms, inspired by his vest. Metal details near the hinges include motifs of his twin daggers, tail, and ribbon. The price is ¥13,300 (approx. €71.17 / $92.04), and each pair comes with a themed case and cleaning cloth.
The Vivi model features his glowing eyes on the front of the frames. Metal accents reference his pointed hat, blue jacket, and striped sleeves. This version is also priced at ¥13,300 (approx. €71.17 / $92.04), and includes a character-themed case and microfiber cloth.
The premium model draws from the central lore of FFIX, incorporating subtle symbols of the Iifa Tree, the Crystal, and Gaia’s two moons. This version is priced slightly higher at ¥14,400 (approx. €84.64 / $99.66), and includes a commemorative case and cloth.
A Moogle-themed mascot cleaner keychain will be sold for ¥1,500 (approx. €8.82 / $10.38). It functions as a microfiber screen cleaner and can be used on both glasses and mobile device displays.
Nine microfiber cloths featuring original character illustrations will be available. One of the designs is a secret. They can be obtained via capsule machines in stores for ¥500 each or as a random online set of seven for ¥3,500.
Customers can try on the glasses from July 7 to August 3, 2025, at select Zoff locations: Grand Tokyo Shibuya, Ikebukuro Sunshine City Alpa, Yaechika, Grand Front Osaka, and Fukuoka Parco. Capsule toy machines will also be set up at these stores and at Zoff Daimaru Umeda. Large banners of Zidane and Vivi will be displayed at three locations.
The eyewear collection will be also showcased at the Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary at Square Enix POP UP STORE:
Daimaru Umeda: July 2 to September 7, 2025 (exhibit ends August 3)
Daimaru Tokyo: July 25 to August 11, 2025 (exhibit ends August 3)
A promotional campaign will be held on Zoff’s official X account from July 7 to July 14. Participants will have the chance to win one of five original cotton multi-use cases.
