Square Enix Launches Final Fantasy 40th Anniversary Teaser Site, With Exhibition and Gallery Cards Announced

Final Fantasy will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2027, and Square Enix has launched a dedicated teaser website for the anniversary. The site currently highlights the main Final Fantasy titles and is set to provide further anniversary information in the future.

Square Enix has also shared anniversary collages featuring the main protagonists from the series.

A Final Fantasy 40th Anniversary Exhibition will take place from January 8 to April 4, 2027, at Tokyo National Museum's Hyokeikan in Tokyo. The exhibition will cover 40 years of Final Fantasy through video, music, interactive content and collaborations.

In addition, the first release in the new Square Enix Gallery Card series will be a Final Fantasy 40th Anniversary pack. It will include cards featuring characters and memorable scenes from the series, along with a special card featuring a digital signature from Yoshitaka Amano. The cards will be sold as individual booster packs or in boxes containing 10 packs.
