Yasumi Matsuno, writer and director of the original Final Fantasy Tactics, clarified the localization scripts for Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles. Responding to fan requests for an 'unchanged' script, he specified different scripts for various modes:

Classic:

JPN : Script of the original version (PS1).

ENG : Script of the Lion's War version (PSP).

Enhanced:

JPN : New version modified for remastering.

ENG : New version translated from the above Japanese version.
