Naoki Hamaguchi Avoids a Direct Answer on Western Release of FFVII Remake Series Complete Edition

In a recent interview with VGC at Tokyo Game Show 2026, Naoki Hamaguchi was asked whether the Japan-exclusive Final Fantasy VII Remake Series Complete Edition, which includes all three games, could eventually be released in the West.
Hamaguchi explained that the production schedule is tight and that Square Enix can only produce a limited quantity of editions, rather than simply making more. However, he avoided giving a direct answer when asked whether a Western release was planned, pointing to a PR representative and replying:
“You’ll have to ask him!”
Some of the most recent Japan-exclusive collector editions like Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - Reunion and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin also never received equivalent Western releases, offering little hope that the Complete Edition will come West.
