Final Fantasy XIV Set for Nintendo Switch 2 Release in August 2026

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in August 2026. The Switch 2 version will require a separate subscription and will not require Nintendo Switch Online. Existing active subscribers on other platforms will receive a 50 percent discount on the Switch 2 subscription. A one month early access period is also planned ahead of release.
