Final Fantasy XIV Fans Celebrate G’raha Tia as “Eorzea’s Sexiest Man Alive”

Jonathan Bailey, known to Final Fantasy XIV players as the voice of G’raha Tia, has been named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2025. While the announcement focused on Bailey’s recent work in Bridgerton, Fellow Travelers, Wicked, and Jurassic World: Rebirth, it didn’t mention his connection to Final Fantasy XIV...
Within hours, Final Fantasy XIV fans had already embraced the title for G’raha Tia himself, calling him “Eorzea’s Sexiest Man Alive.” The character has long been one of the most popular in the game, and Bailey’s performance has played a big part in that appeal.
The recognition also sparked discussion among fans about Bailey’s availability for future voice work. With his acting career expanding across stage and film, some worry that scheduling conflicts could make it harder for him to continue voicing G’raha Tia in upcoming content.
Bailey has previously spoken about his dedication to the role, sharing how he kept recording for Final Fantasy XIV while performing nightly in the theater production Company:
"I'm aware of how important this character is to so many people,"
"I was so determined to not step away from this character that, when I was doing [theater show] Company, I had to record this in the day for about a week while doing eight shows at night."
Based on those statements, it seems that despite the growing demands of his acting career, Bailey remains committed to the character that Final Fantasy XIV players have come to know and love.
