Final Fantasy XIV Announces “Beyond the Lifestream” Collaboration with the Final Fantasy VII Remake

The upcoming Final Fantasy XIV expansion Evercold will feature an 8-player Raid series created as a full collaboration with the Final Fantasy VII Remake team. Titled “Beyond the Lifestream,” the raid series will follow the usual format for Final Fantasy XIV’s Raids.

The first raid tier is expected to arrive with Patch 8.01, likely around two weeks after Evercold launches. The collaboration will also involve Tetsuya Nomura, creative director of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy.

In addition to the new raid series, the Gold Saucer will receive a Final Fantasy VII-themed activity in Patch 7.56. Called “Keybound Brawler,” the new activity is a typing game.

The activity will also add new rewards based on Barret and Tifa. These include cosplay outfits, while Barret’s gun arm will be available as a fashion accessory with its own firing animation.
