Following the reveal of Final Fantasy VII Revelation and Square Enix's ongoing Final Fantasy Franchise Steam Sale, both previous entries in the trilogy have seen a noticeable increase in Steam players.
According to SteamDB data Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade reached 10,082 concurrent players on June 14, making it the game's highest player count since its Steam launch. The previous major peaks occurred during the March 2024 Steam Spring Sale following Rebirth's PS5 release and again when Rebirth launched on Steam in January 2025.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth also saw an increase, reaching 6,826 concurrent players. While smaller than Intergrade's spike, it represents roughly double the game's usual player count.

The increase comes as both titles are available at their lowest recorded Steam prices. Remake Intergrade is currently discounted to €13,99/$13.99, while Rebirth is available for €19,99/$19.99.
This SteamDB data aligns with a recent statement by Naoki Hamaguchi, who noted that following the showcase, Square Enix observed an uptick in players beginning Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth for the first time.
"Our marketing members have been following the reception online, and we do notice a lot of people who are announcing that they’re finally starting playing the Final Fantasy VII Remake series for the first time.”
