The Pixel Remaster version of the first FINAL FANTASY will join Xbox Game Pass on January 8 as part of the service’s January Wave 1 update. This release only covers the first game and does not include the other Final Fantasy II-VI Pixel Remaster titles.
This version comes with updated 2D pixel graphics, improved audio, and a modernized user interface, while keeping the original structure of the 1987 release. It also includes several quality-of-life features to make the experience more comfortable for today’s platforms.
Players can access it via cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC if they have Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, or PC Game Pass.
