Square Enix has announced the Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Exhibition: Itsuka Kaeru Tokoro (A Place to Call Home), which will be held in Tokyo later this year. The event is scheduled for November 22 to December 7, 2025, at the Yurakucho Marui 8F Event Space.
The exhibition will showcase development materials from Final Fantasy IX that are being displayed publicly for the first time, along with exhibits designed as a journey through the memories of the two worlds in the game. A special weapon from the story will also be on display, as teased in the official announcement.
Fan participation will be part of the program. Selected fan art submitted through the official anniversary website will be featured at the venue, with entries accepted until October 31, 2025. Square Enix is also inviting fans to share their personal memories of Final Fantasy IX, some of which will be included in the exhibition.
Square Enix launched an official account on X/Twitter @ffix25_EX and a dedicated website FFIX25-exhibition.com for this event.
