Crisis Core–Final Fantasy VII– Reunion Switch 2 Physical Release Listed by Play-Asia

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion, which shadow-dropped digitally during the latest Nintendo Direct, may still be headed for a physical release.
The well-known retailer Play-Asia has listed the title with a September 23, 2026 release date. The format, like other Switch 2 Square Enix releases, is expected to be another Game-Key Card rather than a full cartridge, and like the recent Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster on Switch 2, an Asia-only physical release looks likely. However, the listing could also be a placeholder until Square Enix officially confirms a physical release.
The Asia edition is expected to remain multilingual like the original Switch release, though Play-Asia currently lists only Japanese and English for audio and subtitles. An official confirmation could arrive soon; the game’s 19th anniversary on September 13 would be a fitting window for Square Enix to announce the release.
