Cookbook - The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook Volume 2: The Culinarian’s Journey From Shadow To Shore

In 2021, Square Enix released The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook, which I covered on my blog and even tried several recipes from. You can still find those posts in the Community & Fun section on my website, where I shared both the results and the full recipes if you want to give them a try.
Now, four years later, Square Enix has published The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV Cookbook Volume 2, featuring dishes inspired by Shadowbringers, Endwalker, and the new Dawntrail expansion.
Like the first volume, this one comes with a sturdy hardcover and glossy, high-quality pages. It also includes an exclusive foreword by Naoki Yoshida and a short introduction of the team, featuring Gyohan, Mogria, and Tastingway, as well as the locations behind the dishes.
The book is divided into eight categories:
• Breakfast
• Appetizers
• Breads
• Soups and Stews
• Main Dishes
• Sides
• Desserts
• Drinks
Each recipe includes details on difficulty, time, and dietary notes, along with easy-to-follow instructions. Some highlights include Popoto Pancakes, Dragonseye Beans Soup, and the Pudding of Perseverance & Prominence. My only small complaint is that, like before, it doesn’t mention alcohol content, which could be useful for some readers.
At around €30, the 192-page cookbook offers over 70 recipes for every occasion, from simple weekday meals to special celebration dishes. It’s available through major retailers like Amazon and is not a Square Enix Store exclusive. A special gift set, which includes a themed tablet stand, is also planned for release in December.
