Fan-Made Final Fantasy VII Remake Co-Op Mod Lets Two Players Play Together
A fan-made co-op mod for Final Fantasy VII Remake is being developed by Christian Budd. Although the mod is still in beta, it has been shown in a gameplay video with commentary showcasing its possibilities.
Budd recorded a playthrough of Chapter 1 with his daughter to demonstrate how two people can play through the opening chapter of the game using the mod.
The mod is currently being developed for the Steam version of the game, but Budd also owns the Epic Games Store version and hopes to make the mod compatible with it if everything goes to plan.
The mod still needs polishing before it can be released. No release date has been announced, but he hopes to make it available to everyone eventually.
