Tifa Was in High Demand: Requested by Many Game IPs for Crossovers, but Square Enix “Didn’t Want to Give Her Away So Easily“

In an interview with Maximilian Dood, Naoki Hamaguchi has revealed that Tifa was in high demand, with numerous game IPs requesting her inclusion in their titles:

“So actually not just Street Fighter but we had many different game IPs asking for her to be included. She was in high demand. So in that way we feel that Tifa is very beloved. She’s loved by so many around the world, and in that sense we didn’t want to give her away so easily. Also, this kind of opportunity came to us at such a great timing as well to go along with the announcement of Revelation.”
