Square Enix Discontinues Final Fantasy Portal App's Triple Triad Game Mode

Square Enix has announced the upcoming end of service for the "Triple Triad" card game, which will cease operations at 6:00 PM on November 25, 2024 (PST) / 2:00 AM on November 26, 2024 (GMT). This decision follows an evaluation of the service's future viability. As stated by the company:
"Ever since introducing the Triple Triad game to the FINAL FANTASY Portal App on August 20, 2015, we have continuously strived to improve the quality of the service. However, it recently became clear we would not be able to maintain the same standards going forward, and as a result we have decided to remove the game from the app."
The card game "Triple Triad" first appeared in "Final Fantasy VIII" and was later adapted into an app version, which launched in April 2015. The service has been available for over 9 years. Despite this change, the "Final Fantasy Portal App" will remain operational, continuing to offer other features and services.
