Square Enix Announces Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Novel "Dear Destiny" for January 2026

Square Enix has revealed the next Final Fantasy VII novel Dear Destiny, written by Kazushige Nojima and scheduled for release in Japan on January 30, 2026. The hardback edition will be priced at 1,760 yen (€9.79/$11.39).
Dear Destiny continues directly from Traces of Two Pasts and again follows Aerith and Tifa before their stories connect to the events of Rebirth. The novel also includes a section focused on Cloud during his period as a Shinra soldier.
The book has currently only been announced for Japan and no international or English release details are known, but since Traces of Two Pasts was also released in English, we might expect an international announcement soon.
