New Dissidia Game Announced: Duellum Final Fantasy Launches in 2026

Square Enix has announced Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy, a new 3-versus-3 Team Boss Battle Arena game for iOS and Android, developed in collaboration with NHN PlayArt. The game is planned for release in 2026.
Players will battle in teams to defeat a boss faster than their opponents. The gameplay focuses on purifying crystals, building Bravery, and unleashing attacks at maximum strength. Characters from across the Final Fantasy series will appear, including Cloud from Final Fantasy VII, Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII, Krile from Final Fantasy V, Gaia from Final Fantasy XIV, and Prompto from Final Fantasy XV.
Set in modern-day Tokyo, the story features full Japanese voice acting and an expanding narrative with new characters to be added after launch. Players will be able to customize their heroes with different outfits, and the game will include "ability illustrations" by various artists.
A closed beta test for Android users is scheduled for November 2025, with registration open until October 28 for players in the United States and Canada.

Update:
Square Enix has confirmed that Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy will feature simple one-hand controls. The Android Closed Beta Test will run from November 6 to 14, with limited play hours each day. In addition to the fully voiced main story, the game will include short side episodes showing the characters’ daily lives. To celebrate the start of the beta, a raffle campaign will be held on the official @DDFF_EN Twitter/X and Facebook accounts, where participants can win Amazon Gift Cards by sharing the beta announcement post.
