During his appearance at Brazil Game Show 2025, Final Fantasy VII Remake series director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that the ending of the upcoming third installment is already finalized in his mind.
"Of course, the conclusion of the third part is already fully formed in my mind. I believe this conclusion will please all members of the Final Fantasy VII fan community who loved the original, as well as those who joined through the Final Fantasy VII Remake series. I feel confident this new game will be loved by everyone!"
The comment, shared by @Genki_JPN, marks Hamaguchi’s first public statement about the trilogy’s ending. While it’s reassuring to hear that the story’s conclusion is already set, the phrasing also raises questions about how far development has progressed on the final chapter. No new details or release information for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 were announced at the event (at least yet).
