Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions Mobile Update Adds Controller Support and 60 FPS
Square Enix released an update for the iOS and Android versions of Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions on October 14, 2026. This applies to the mobile version of War of the Lions, not the recently released Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles.
The update adds controller support, a fast-forward feature, and improved performance to run at 60 FPS. Fast-forward can be toggled on or off using the ▷▷ button on screen.
The battle UI has also been updated, with camera controls now grouped on the right side of the screen. Players can switch between Touch Rotate Mode and Touch Pan Mode, while the direct camera controls can be opened or closed for a clearer view of the battlefield.
The update also changes the font for improved readability and fixes other minor bugs.
