Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles Officially Announced at State of Play

Square Enix officially announced Final Fantasy Tactics – The Ivalice Chronicles during the recent PlayStation State of Play. The long-speculated remaster is now confirmed for release on September 30, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The title includes two distinct versions: enhanced and classic. The enhanced version offers fully voiced dialogue, an updated and optimized user interface, graphical improvements, and several quality of life features. The classic version retains the original game’s visual and gameplay design while integrating the War of the Lions translation and modern conveniences like auto save.
The project is being developed by Square Enix’s Creative Studio 3. This marks the first time the company has officially acknowledged the long-rumored remaster, despite years of speculation among fans.
Available on the Square Enix Store, the Collector’s Box features five carefully crafted items housed inside a beautifully designed Special Art Box, all created to commemorate the release of the game!
