Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles is celebrating its first anniversary today, September 30, with the official Final Fantasy Tactics account sharing a message from director Kazutoyo Maehiro to mark the occasion.
“Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles has reached its first anniversary since release!
This work began with the desire to deliver the tactical RPG masterpiece Final Fantasy Tactics to a new generation of players… There were times when I felt anxious about whether it would be accepted in this day and age, but fortunately we received a great deal of praise from both new players and fans of the original version, and I am very happy!
To everyone who has played it so far and everyone who has supported us, thank you very much! On behalf of the staff, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude! If there are still people who have not played it, please take this opportunity to give it a try! And I hope you will feel the fun of tactical RPGs! We look forward to your continued support of this work!”

Alongside the anniversary message, new Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles apparel and an iPhone case have been added to the Amazon Merch on Demand lineup.
While Square Enix has only announced these items for the Japanese Amazon storefront today, we can expect them to become available globally at a later point. This is also what happened with the previous Final Fantasy Merch on Demand merchandise, which is still available for purchase.
Square Enix has also opened pre-orders for a Magnet Collection based on in-game character faces. There are 17 designs in blind packaging: Ramza (Type A and Type B), Delita (Type A and Type B), Alma, Orlandeau, Ovelia, Agrias, Mustadio, Gaffgarion, Orran, Zalbaag, Dycedarg, Tietra, Argath, Elmdore, and a Chocobo. A 17-piece box is also available.
