Celes Joins Dissidia Duellum on July 28, New Season “Threads of Hope” & FFIX Character Teased for September

New information for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy was revealed during the latest official livestream, hosted by MC Kasumi Ashizawa, Producer Naoya Matsumoto, Planner Yuki Mizuno, and Creative Producer Tetsuya Nomura.

Celes Chere from FINAL FANTASY VI is the next new Ghost and arrives on July 28, 2026. She can be unlocked for free as a Season Reward in the new season “Threads of Hope,” with new Sealed Ability Crystals also being added. Her exclusive UR abilities include “Spinning Edge” and “Runic.” Additional new UR abilities are “Locke/Phoenix’s Magicite” and “Kefka/Havoc Wing.”

A new limited-time Memoria, “Aria at the Opera House,” also arrives. As always, this ability can only be equipped in the Support slot. Terra’s new style, “Blossom Princess,” is coming from August 3 to August 24.

Onion Knight, Rinoa, and Gaia’s Swimsuit Outfits arrive in mid to late August. A Growth Egg Featured Draw arrives in the latter half of the season, accompanied by a giveaway of 100,000 Growth Eggs for all players.

While Celes serves as the featured character for July, the stream also confirmed upcoming "Ghosts": while it was previously revealed that August will feature a character from FINAL FANTASY V, a new character from FINAL FANTASY IX was teased for September.
